August Review

Well to start August out we took Hayden, Kyrstn, and Ryder to visit nana Beth and Papa Rocky. While they were there the had fun playing with their cousin Sully and going to VBS. While three of the kids were gone Russell, Dallas, Rylie and I tried a go cart place and had some fun. Then Hayden and Ryder came back home and Dallas stayed another week, while Kyrstn stayed with nana Beth and papa Rocky another week. We enjoyed playing in the water and working outside. Hayden started the 1st grade and we go to visit the Covenant Childrens ER for the 1st time with broken bones and to my surprise Hayden was not the 1st. Here are some pictures of what we did during August.

On our way to Sunray.

Ryder happy to be on the way.

This is Kyrstns favorite dress. She like to spin in circles with it on.

Hayden loves to play with tinker toys. He is always inventing something or making something. He can play with these for a long time. Here he has built Wall e. He enjoyed that movie and like robots. He tells me we need a robot.

On the road again. One of our many trips to Sunray in August.

Dallas came to visit for a coupe weeks and helped Russell a little outside. He did a lot of weed eating, weed pulling and weed spraying.

This is what Rylie did while Dallas was working so hard in the heat. Sleep, play and enjoy being an only child for a few days.

We went to Dave's Need 4 Speed while Dallas was here and had a lot of fun. They had two go cart tracks, miniture golf with black light and laser tag.

We went to Sunray after VBS was over to pick up Hayden and Ryder. Kyrstn wanted to stay a little longer so she could help nana.

Playing in the water

Dallas, Hayden and Ryder had a good time playing in the water after pulling weeds in the garden all morning. It was pretty hot that day. Rylie enjoyed being outside for a little while getting some fresh air.

Ryder thought it was hillarious to get everyone else wet. He did not like it though when they took the water hose away from him or got him wet.

Rylie's first cereal
Rylie had her first cereal on August 16. She liked it at first and now does not really like it at all. She like the mixed grain better than the rice though.

Hayden started 1st grade this year and is really enjoying it. He likes it much better that kindergarten. He really like his teacher, Mrs. Stevenson. He is doing so much better this year. His handwriting is so much better, you can not even tell it is the same person.

To end August we got to spend some time in the ER. It was the 2nd day of school only a 1/2 day. Hayden had just gotten home and Kyrstn was suppose to be taking a nap on her bunk bed. A few minutes after she gets in be I hear a crash and Kyrstn cry a little. I go in there to check on her and she had fallen off her bed. So, I take her in the living room to ask her why she was not taking a nap then she shows me where it hurts. Her arm is bent where it is not suppose to be. So I load all four kids up and head to Lubbock. She ended up breaking both bones in her forearm. She was a good sport and has not even complained of it hurting since it happened. Here are some pictures taken with my sisters cell phone so they are not real big.

Eating at Fuddruckers after getting out of the ER waiting on her pain meds to be filled. She really liked staying with papa Richard and did not want anyone else the rest of the day.

Poor Kyrstn! I'm glad to hear that the kids had a great summer with lots of activities. That is what summer is all about. Love the pictures. I can't believe how big Rylie is getting. Keep up the blogging...it's the only way I can stay updated!

You're my hero for being able to load up all the kiddos and head to the hospital. Superwoman!
